What's your country's carbon footprint?

Conference:
NHSMUN Committee

Have you ever wondered what your country's carbon footprint looks like? Well, you're in luck! http://www.carbonfootprintofnations.com/content.php?cID=82

now while yo're playing with it, here are a couple of questions you could think about: what is your country's carbon footprint in comparison to others? What is the biggest sector of industry that emits the most carbons? does this occur internationally as well? Remember to focus on adaptation and mitigation solutions that will work under the jurisdiction of UNFPA.

hope you had a very safe and fun new year's eve/day! 2011 means something different for all of us, but there's one thing we have in common: in less than 3 months we will finally be together discussing some of the most important issues plaguing maternal health and well, frankly the world!

The deadline for position papers is soon approaching, so by now you should have looked over the background guide to give you some ideas as to how your country will take a position.

UNFPA - Sustainable Development Updates

Conference:
NHSMUN Committee

Hey Delegates!

Here's a great UNFPA article detailing the general direction for sustainable development to happen within the future. UNFPA and NGOs are joining forces to push population issues in the international agenda at the Rio+20 summit to be held May 14-16, 2012. Check the article out to get a kick start on some of your research for climate change!
