Freegypt! A DAY WHICH WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY!! (and 3 days until position papers are due!) (Post 13)
February 11th, 2011 - Today, Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak has resigned and handed over power to the Supreme Council for the Armed Forces. Although what the future holds for this country is unclear, I have to say that I am truly inspired by what people are capable of. People do have the power to make great changes (good or bad).
On other news, there's a big deadline next week - position papers are due! Whooooo! I'm so excited to read the fruits of all of your research.
A tidbit for the weekend: Squatters build Haitian village and await services (http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/02/09/2059067/squatters-build-haitian-vi...). In the blog, we mostly discussed migration across country borders but it is important to not forget internal migration issues within a country's own borders.
