New to NHSMUN?

From March 6-9, 2013, NHSMUN will bring together over 3,000 participants from over a dozen countries to deliberate on both contemporary and historical international policy issues, as well as crises that force students to think critically.

The caliber of the conference is unparalleled in the quality of the debate and topics, the number of schools that attend, and our carefully selected staff of over 70 top undergraduates from universities across the country and across the world. Our ultimate mission is to provide a conference that is the best-organized and the most intellectually stimulating, while simultaneously fostering a non-competitive atmosphere that emphasizes learning above all else.

Students also have access to a number of non-substantive events and resources during the conference, including a prominent keynote speaker, delegate briefings by U.N. diplomat counterparts, and a delegate resource center. Moreover, because of our status as a non-governmental organization, delegates are able to engage in debate at both the Hilton New York and the United Nations Headquarters.

We would be honored to further contribute to your delegates’ proficiency in international affairs and aptitude for intellectual problem-solving. The NHSMUN 2013 Conference will undoubtedly be one of the most intellectually rewarding and personally enriching experiences that your students will enjoy through the course of the year. Given
the opportunity to attend, your students will be presented with an exceptional opportunity to learn and share ideas about global issues, employing knowledge acquired in the classroom and developing highly transferable communication skills.
