
NHSMUN 2008
NHSMUN 2008 was held March 12-15, 2008 in New York, NY. The conference introduced a number of new and successful committees, including a revamped Press Corps and the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Forum. NHSMUN 2008 also marked the beginning of scholarships for commuting New York City schools. During opening ceremonies, the delegates were addressed by Guido Schmidt-Traub, Associate Director at the Millenium Project. Mr. Schmidt-Traub spoke to the delegates about his work at the Millenium Project, where he manages the work on infrastructure, environmental sustainability, urban development, and science and technology. He also coordinates the development of tools for MDG needs assessments and oversees the Project's advisory work in several focus countries.
