Parents, the significance of your children's participation in NHSMUN should not be underestimated.  The students spend countless hours preparing for the conference in the months leading up to the event, and at the conference itself, they devote themselves to the ultimate goal of collaborative learning that NHSMUN embodies.  The results of their work are nothing short of impressive.  After deliberating and analyzing some of the international community's most pressing issues, they produce comprehensive documents and resolutions that even the most informed world leaders struggle to address.  Perhaps even more important, however, is the understanding of the benefits of teamwork that students take away from the conference.  They gain invaluable insight and firsthand experience in the value and ability to work together to achieve tasks that, at first, may appear to be seemingly impossible.
