The Perpetual Trafficking Cycle
Hey everyone! Take a look at this video produced by BBC about a UNICEF worker who works with children in Moldova to help them perform skits about the effects of human trafficking. In a nation where one out of two children have at least one parent working abroad, the concept of trust comes into play when recruiters come back to their homeland and take more victims.
She explains that because those who had been previously taken away are trusted, people will often believe what they have to say and see the benefits of accompanying them abroad will do, unaware that these people are working for a power higher than themselves or have been altered by their experiences.

Consider what can be done by the international community in this aspect. How are we to know that people will get the care they need after being trafficked so that they do not propel this cycle of movement and bring the people they used to live with into such a damaging arena of work?
