
Registration General Information
SUSMUN registration differs from our other conferences in two important ways:
- Fees are only assessed for individual delegates - thus there is no "delegation fee". This is because at SUSMUN it is nearly impossible for a school to have all the same country through every Tier. Therefore, we assess a one-time "School Fee" to cover the costs of delegations. Most schools will have enough delegates within one Tier level to necessitate more than one country assignment. This allows schools freedom to place delegates in their appropriate Tier level as well as have more flexibility in choosing countries.
- Delegates must register within their Tier Level. It is extremely important that all schools follow this rule. Assigning delegates inappropriately based on experience level undermines the fundamental principles of SUSMUN: allowing delegates of similar experience to work and learn together in a committee environment specifically tailored to their needs. Similarly, we do allow for either accelerating especially gifted delegates, or holding back delegates that need more practice building their skills, but ask that you notify the Director-General of these delegates after registration. Please register delegates in the proper Tier based on these guidelines:
Beginner Tier: 0-1 MUN conferences attended
Novice Tier: 1-3 MUN conferences attended
Advanced: 3+ MUN conferences attended
The SUSMUN 2012 Registration Schedule is as follows:
First Registration March 15 - June 30: $55 per delegate; $60 per school
- June 15
Deposits due (50% of total delegate fees)
Countries assigned to all schools that have paid deposits
Second Registration August 1 - October 1: $65 per delegate; $60 per school
Deposits due two weeks after registration
- October 1
Countries assigned to schools that have paid deposits
Last day for 100% refund
- October 15
All deposits due
Last day for 50% refund
