Cote d’Ivoire or Ivory Coast, officially the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, is a country in West Africa bordered by Liberia and Guinea in the west, Mali and Burkina Faso in the north, Ghana in the east, and the Gulf of Guinea in the south. With a population of approximately 23 million, it has an area of 322,463 square kilometers, making it the 53rd most populous and 69th largest country in the world.
