New York Hilton Midtown

NHSMUN’s conference headquarters is the New York Hilton Midtown located at 53rd Street and Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan, New York City. All conference participants are required to stay at the New York Hilton, with the exception of schools located in New York City that desire to commute to and from the conference. Committee sessions, presentations, and conference activities take place at the Hilton, sometimes running until very late in the evening. This is just one of the reasons that all participants stay at the Hilton, creating an immersive environment for everyone involved. NHSMUN has the benefit of a hotel in one of the best locations in Manhattan, offering endless opportunities for delegates.

 

The New York Hilton Midtown is located in the center of Midtown Manhattan, very close to the city’s main attractions and popular destinations. Steps away from Central Park and Times Square, it is easy to enjoy the uniquely cosmopolitan experience of New York City. The options for meals are endless: from quick grab-and-go meals to higher-end dinners, the location of the New York Hilton Midtown offers countless different possibilities and will enhance your experience at NHSMUN. There are dozens of very affordable restaurants, cafes, shops, and food establishments in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, within a very short walking distance.

 

The NHSMUN Hilton rates are per room, per night, and are based on type of room. For those looking to extend their stay for tourism or sightseeing, the same discounted rates are also available in the days preceding and following the conference. The 2024 discounted group rates appear below. Please note that rates are per room, per night. Most schools will assign 3-4 students per room for the most cost effective solution. For example, with 4 students per room, each student’s cost is approximately $83 per night.

 

1 King Bed + 1 Double Sofa Bed (1-4 occupants): $279

2 Double/Double Bedded Room (2-4 occupants): $329

 

Instructions for making hotel reservations at the discounted group rate are released after registration. If you have not yet registered for the conference but need assistance with rates or other hotel information, please contact hotels@imuna.org. Your reservations will be submitted through a dedicated hotel representative who manages NHSMUN reservations and ensures that all group privileges have been applied.

 

NHSMUN group rates are accompanied by flexible change policies, and they include premium wireless internet access throughout the hotel, both in the sleeping rooms and the meeting rooms (rare for New York City!). Each school’s rooms will be assigned together on the same floor and will feature dedicated floor security and other group benefits. United Nations Headquarters (availability permitting)

Located on 1st Avenue between 42nd and 48th Streets, the United Nations Headquarters overlooks the East River. NHSMUN has been very fortunate to have the opportunity of hosting its past opening or closing ceremonies at the United Nations Headquarters. Please note that sessions are subject to availability of space at the United Nations, and as such, are not guaranteed. Meetings and sessions of the United Nations understandably take precedence over Model United Nations conferences. If space at the United Nations is not available, NHSMUN’s opening or closing ceremonies will be held in the NY Hilton Midtown. NHSMUN is most grateful to the United Nations, availability permitting, for allowing delegates to visit the heart of world diplomacy!

 

The United Nations is located within walking distance of the New York Hilton, and this is what the majority of past attendees have chosen to do. However, public transportation is also easily accessible to and from both locations.
